This project really showed off the team's talents and gave a tired basement a fresh, modern look.
The homeowner asked us to paint the walls, trim, cabinets, ceilings, and the window trim. They also asked us to update the stain on the bar.
Woodwork on the Bar
We needed to spray, roll, brush, and dry-brush blend to achieve the custom look that the homeowner wanted.
The bar rails and ledges are finished in Black Onyx using General Finishes Waterbase Ebony Stain. Dry-brushing evens out the color so the grain variation in the wood shows through.
Next, we added a clear semi-gloss finish to protect it and make it look as rich as possible.
It's a tinted Enduro 2K Poly by General Finishes that we mixed to a cool, elegant gray from Sherwin-Williams called Pewter Cast SW 7673.
